HPE Unveils New AI Solutions to Enable Enterprises to Accelerate AI Model Development and Deployment
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has revealed a range of new AI-native and hybrid cloud solutions designed to empower businesses to accelerate the development and deployment of AI models. The announcement was made at HPE Discover Barcelona 2023.
Antonio Neri, the president and CEO of HPE, emphasized the need for a different technological approach to meet the data and computational demands of running AI models effectively. He stated, HPE will bring its market-leading hybrid cloud, supercomputing, and AI capabilities more broadly to the enterprise to enable an AI-powered transformation, where customers can develop AI models securely with their proprietary data.
The newly unveiled solutions combine HPE’s expertise in hybrid cloud, supercomputing, and AI/ML software, enabling organizations to become AI-driven enterprises. These offerings are based on an open, full-stack AI-native architecture, integrating a carefully curated mix of software and infrastructure that accelerates the AI lifecycle.
HPE’s new solutions aim to break down the barriers associated with IT and deliver comprehensive AI-native solutions that allow organizations to efficiently train, tune, and infer their AI models from edge to cloud. For businesses to successfully integrate AI models into their operations, such as GenAI, deep learning, computer vision, or classical machine learning models, HPE suggests expanding their cloud-native environment to include an AI-native approach.
The HPE GreenLake cloud platform plays a vital role in this evolution, utilizing an industry-leading open, full-stack AI-native architecture. This architecture boasts several significant attributes:
1. Data-first pipeline: manages public and proprietary data across multi-gen IT.
2. AI lifecycle management software: accelerates workflows for training, tuning, and inferencing.
3. Hybrid by design: allows AI to run anywhere from edge to cloud while ensuring data protection.
4. High-performance interconnects: facilitate intelligent connectivity and traffic management for large clusters.
5. Supercomputing DNA: integrated into the entire portfolio for training the largest models.
6. Open ecosystem: provides freedom of choice without any lock-in.
In addition to the new solutions, HPE has expanded its strategic collaboration with NVIDIA, focusing on building an enterprise computing solution for generative AI (GenAI). This co-engineered solution facilitates easy customization of foundation models using private data and seamless deployment of production applications across various locations.
Manuvir Das, the vice president of enterprise computing at NVIDIA, highlighted the transformative power of generative AI, stating, Our extended collaboration with HPE will help enterprises everywhere harness full-stack, accelerated computing and software from NVIDIA to supercharge the power of generative AI.
The enterprise computing solution for generative AI is expected to be available in Q1CY24.
Furthermore, HPE has made available HPE Services for AI, managed services for HPE Machine Learning Development Environment Software, and updates to HPE Ezmeral Software.
