Adobe Launches Web Photoshop with Free Trial & Collaborative Features
Software giant Adobe has announced the launch of its web-based version of Photoshop, offering users a seven-day free trial as part of all Photoshop plans. The new web Photoshop allows users to access the app instantly, with no need for download or installation. Users can create, open, or edit any Photoshop document directly on the web.
The release of web Photoshop is aimed at meeting the needs of both new users and existing Photoshop enthusiasts. Adobe has streamlined the user experience to make it more accessible to beginners, while still providing powerful tools like Generative Fill that are used by experienced users.
One of the significant advantages of the web Photoshop is its collaboration feature. Users can now invite others to collaborate on their projects, even if they don’t have a Photoshop subscription. By sharing a link, collaborators can view and comment on the files, facilitating seamless teamwork.
In addition to the core features of Photoshop, Adobe has also introduced Firefly, a family of creative generative artificial intelligence (AI) models, into the web version. This allows users to add, expand, or remove content from images non-destructively, while ensuring the perspective, lighting, and style match the original image.
Although not all features from the desktop version are currently available on the web, Adobe plans to gradually introduce more tools that users are familiar with, such as the patch tool, pen tool, smart object support, and polygonal lasso.
