ChatGPT Shamed For Dismal JEE Performance With Just 11 Correct Answers

OpenAI’s ChatGPT, the cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI), has conquered many of the toughest competitive examinations in the world. It has obtained success much in the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), Wharton’s MBA exam, and America’s Multistate Bar Exam (MBE). It even passed may feat in Google’s coding interview for Level 3 engineers. Unluckily, its performance in the tough Indian entrance exams, most prominently the UPSC and JEE, was below par. ChatGPT was only able to get 11 questions right, and thus, made a negative score. As reported by multiple media outlets, including FirstPost and Financial Express.

The AI is attempting to make a recovery and made a decent score of 359 out of 800 on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam (NEET). Mint further explains that the AI answered 50.83% questions correctly in the Common Law Admission Test for Undergraduates (CLAT UG). Its performance in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), that comprises the Business subjects paper, was average at 66.4%.

For example, one user challenged the Artificial Intelligence to attempt the CA exam. Another user made the very relatable comment that JEE and UPSC are not everyone’s cup of tea. Furthermore, some users placed their bets on the chatbot, to join the legendary Kota to get it trained up for the same. On the same note, other users suggested that the AI requires a good Indian parenting. One user, however, chose to enlighten others by debunking any claims of the AI being a math engine, and further went on to state that for that sort, it would require a different model. Unexpectedly, one user had a scary premonition about ChatGPT generating questions for JEE soon.
