The GATE 2024 examination, which will be conducted in a computer-based format, is scheduled to take place on February 3rd, 4th, 10th, and 11th. The exam will serve the dual purpose of enabling candidates to seek admission to MTech programs as well as facilitating recruitment by various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The exam will be administered in two sessions, a morning session from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and an afternoon session from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
This year, the GATE test will feature 30 different papers, including a new addition in the field of data science and artificial intelligence by IISc Bangalore.
To be eligible for GATE 2024, candidates must either be in their third or final year of a bachelor’s program or have completed a government-approved degree program in engineering, technology, science, architecture, or the humanities.
The application fee for female students in the SC, ST, and PwD categories is set at Rs 900, with an additional late fee of Rs 1,400. For all other applicants, the application fee is Rs 1,800, with a late fee of Rs 2,300.
