Vobile, a technology company specializing in digital asset protection and transaction software, is expanding its operations with a new research and development center in San Felasco Tech City. The company, which last year moved into a temporary space in Gainesville’s Innovation District, has now leased a 10,000-square-foot facility to support its growth plans and accommodate its engineering and operating staff.
We are thrilled to establish a regional headquarters at San Felasco Tech City, said Britt Woodall, Vobile’s director of special projects. This move represents the beginning of our plans to expand our presence in Florida.
Vobile aims to hire hundreds of employees in the coming years, including engineers and operating staff from the University of Florida and the surrounding area. The company’s CEO, Yangbin Wang, is a UF graduate, having completed a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1993.
Vobile is best known for its patented video DNA fingerprinting technologies, which protect the copyright and increase distribution revenue for digital content asset owners, including movie studios, TV networks, and streaming platforms. Notable partners listed on Vobile’s website include Sony Music, Lionsgate, Paramount, Netflix, and Comedy Central. The company received an Emmy Award for Technology and Engineering in 2017.
In addition to digital content protection, Vobile provides digital infrastructure services on Web3, a decentralized web platform based on public blockchains. The company also offers subscription and value-added-based software service models, enhancing the value of creative content.

San Felasco Tech City is home to over 50 companies, including Neurotronics, Anamar Environmental Consulting Inc., TIMCO Engineering, Nextgen Biologics, Fracture, and Novapproach Spine. The addition of Vobile’s cutting-edge technology and impressive client list further strengthens the innovative ecosystem at SFTC.
