Chinese Tech Summer Camp Sparks Global Interest in Electric Vehicles and Autonomous Driving
More than 100 teenagers of Chinese descent from over 20 countries and regions kick-started their summer camp in Beijing, signaling the growing global interest in electric vehicles (EVs) and autonomous driving technology. The camp, organized by China News Network, Chinaqw.com, and Overseas Chinese Language and Culture Education Online, under the guidance of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China, aims to immerse the young participants in cutting-edge technology experiences.
On the first day of the camp, the teenagers were taken to the Apollo Park, located at Shougang Park in Beijing, where they witnessed an array of technological advancements. The youths had the opportunity to observe AI painting, large-scale text comprehension models, virtual reality technology, and instant photography technology, all of which were applied during the Winter Olympics. Sergio Huang from Argentina expressed his aspirations to study applied mathematics and work on autonomous driving technology as he discussed his plans to introduce artificial intelligence and autonomous driving to his peers in Argentina.
