ElevenLabs Raises $19 Million from Andreessen Horowitz and GitHub’s Former CEO for Hot AI Startup

London and New York-based AI voice startup ElevenLabs has raised $19 million in an early-stage funding round, led by venture capitalist firm Andreessen Horowitz. It also involved ex-GitHub CEO Nat Friedman and entrepreneur Daniel Gross. The funds will be used to develop the startup’s long-form video content offerings and delivery platform Projects. The funded company was launched in 2022 and uses AI to create a convincing text-to-speech voiceover and uses this to clone existing voices.
