Google has issued a warning to its employees about sharing confidential information on its own chatbot, Bard, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Alphabet, Google’s parent company, has reminded its engineers to avoid direct use of codes that the AI chatbots can generate. While both Google and OpenAI’s chatbots serve as programming tools, Fishbowl’s survey shows that almost 43% of professionals have used AI chatbots, with or without their bosses’ consent. Founder and CEO of Cloudflare, Matthew Prince, warned that sharing personal or private information on chatbots is like turning a bunch of PhD students loose in all of your private records. Google’s Bard chatbot, which supports Japanese and Korean, is set to support more than 40 other languages.
