Refuel AI Raises $5M to Develop Training-Ready Datasets using LLMs

Refuel AI, a start-up that uses large language models (LLMs) to generate accurate training data for AI models, has raised $5.2m in seed funding. The company, which emerged from stealth mode after previously operating in secret, said it would use the funding to grow its team and build out its platform ahead of its commercial launch in July. Refuel AI’s platform automates the creation and labelling of datasets using specialist LLMs, which can yield quality on par with or better than humans. This does away with the need for human teams to undertake the task of cleaning and annotating data, which can take weeks to months.
