Neurable, a brain-computer interfaces company, has developed over-ear headphones that can track brain signals and help people stay focused. Using neurohacking artificial intelligence, the Neurable headphones can detect when a wearer is losing focus or is in a state of deep focus. The headphones record brain activity with silver bands that act as electrodes placed around the ear area. The technology is designed to give people better knowledge of their own state of mental fatigue in order to avoid burnout. The CEO of Neurable, Dr Ramses Alcaide, said that data collected from the technology suggests that taking a quick five-minute break at a key moment can increase focus for the next four hours. The technology is being tested by a major headphone brand and is expected to be launched later this year.
