Generative AI Boost for Startups With AWS

Date:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is helping to accelerate the success of start-ups in the field of generative AI.

Aimed at giving start ups the resources, mentoring and funding to develop their products and connect with customers and investors, AWS is offering a 10 week program for new AI companies. Applications will be open until April 17 and then 10 lucky companies will be chosen to take part in the program, which starts on May 24 of this year.

The AWS Generative AI Accelerator will mainly be held online, with two in-person meetings taking place, the first at the program’s start and the second ending in the Demo Day at AWS Startup Lofts in San Francisco. During the program, startups will benefit from mentoring, as well has having the chance to interact with each other as well as industry leaders at networking events.

In terms of funding, the accelerant program provides up to $300,000 in AWS credits, split evenly between promotional credits and AWS Activate credits, the latter of which a startup must separately qualify for. The credits will allow startups to build their products on the AWS cloud service, utilizing the AI and ML tools.

The entire program will culminate with the Demo Day, where startups will get to pitch their products and potentially draw in investors, customers and press attention. AWS is targeting startups that already have an MVP ready and are looking for funding in the next year and a half.

AWS is helping to provide a strong foundation to startups in an exciting field and is taking an important step in enabling new generative AI companies.
