Preview Clothes on Different Models with Google’s New Generative AI

Google is launching a new feature as part of its Google Shopping updates that lets users preview clothes on a range of real-life fashion models. The feature uses a new virtual try-on tool powered by a diffusion-based model, which predicts the drape and stretch of clothing on various models. The models range from sizes XXS to 4XL, representing different ethnic identities, skin tones, body types and hair types. The feature aims to help bridge the gap between online and in-store shopping by enabling consumers to get a better idea of how a garment will look before they buy. Alongside this, Google is also launching AI-powered filters for fashion searches, letting users narrow their search results by color, pattern and style.
