Google Meet Meetings to Become More Interactive Soon

Google has added support for whiteboard cameras on its video conferencing app, Google Meet. To begin with, the company will support Logitech Scribe. The new camera will allow colleagues to collaborate more easily, enabling them to physically whiteboard and have virtual colleagues present via a live stream. The update introduces a new type of content camera that will allow presenters to feature a physical whiteboard without blocking the view from a central camera. The Logitech Scribe is a $1,200 device that films at 1080p at 15fps, leveraging AI to present a clearer view from an overhead filming position. Google plans to introduce additional partnerships to expand the service’s content camera support. The update for the Meet UI will begin rolling out gradually at the end of June.
