Grafana Labs, the Stockholm-based company that developed open-source data visualisation tools has announced the launch of Grafana v10, which includes improved dashboards and hardened security. This marks the first major upgrade in almost two years. The company is also celebrating its 10th anniversary, and will host community meet-ups in more than 20 cities. Grafana has 20 million users with plugins available for over 150 data sources, with some of the company’s customers including Salesforce, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup and Bloomberg. The updated version includes three new panels to include in dashboards: Canvas, Trend, and Datagrid; a subfolder feature to organise dashboards; the ability to share via email; and public dashboard updates which allows users to access data sources running in private networks from Grafana Cloud with added security through SOCKS over a secure shell proxy.
