Tenstorrent and Bodhi Computing Partner for Strategic RISC-V Ecosystem Development

Tenstorrent, a next-generation computer engineering company headquartered in Toronto, Canada, is set to strengthen India’s Digital India RISC-V Program with its development of an extensive ecosystem. This initiative is made possible through Tenstorrent’s strategic partnership with Bodhi Computing.

Bodhi Computing will leverage Tenstorrent’s AI and RISC-V technologies to build and sell server-grade systems that target India’s data center, enterprise, HPC, telecom, and automotive markets. As more and more growth is expected in these markets, the partnership signals a huge opportunity for both companies. In addition to serving the Indian market, Bodhi Computing is also looking to expand into global markets as opportunities arise.

Leading Bodhi Computing are co-founders Sambit Sahu and Ragu Barathalwar – industry veterans with a proven track record of technical leadership. This investment and partnership additionally see Tenstorrent CEO Jim Keller joining the company’s Board of Directors.

According to Jim Keller, the India’s Ministry of Electronics and IT’s Digital India RISC-V Program inspired him to contribute towards its mission. The aim is to launch the country’s first indigenous chipset by 2024. Meanwhile, Sambit Sahu sees Tenstorrent’s package as the ‘key propeller’ to power the trillion-dollar AI revolution.

As part of the investment and partnership, Tenstorrent will work with Bodhi Computing to develop software, systems, and AI solutions based on RISC-V. The two companies will also pioneer open source ecosystem development and take the lead in forming it for the industry.

Bodhi Computing is focused on creating and selling server-grade products and systems powered by AI engines and RISC-V architecture. Deeply invested in furthering the development of the RISC-V field, the company will make sure to meet the ever-growing demands for high-performance computers and use the opportunity to capitalize on the 14 trillion-dollar AI revolution.
