Research Assistant – Division of Science, Mathematical Foundations of Machine Learning, Abu Dhabi, UAE

New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Research Assistant in the Division of Science to work on interdisciplinary subjects bridging Computer Science and Mathematics. The position will specifically focus on the Mathematical Foundations of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.

The Research Assistant will work under the guidance of Professor Pierre Youssef and will be appointed for one semester, with the potential for an extension. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong mathematical background and knowledge of machine learning and data science. Excellent communication skills in English along with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and scientific creativity are required.

The selected candidate will be based at NYUAD in Abu Dhabi and will receive highly competitive terms of employment, including housing and educational subsidies for children.
