ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence assistant, provides evidence-based answers to a wide range of public health questions, according to researchers from the University of California San Diego. The team evaluated 23 questions in categories such as addiction, mental health, interpersonal violence, and physical health and found that 21 responses were evidence-based, while the median answer length was 225 words with a reading level of between ninth and 16th grade.
