Over Half of Workers Fear Job Redundancy Due to ChatGPT

Over half of employed adults fear that the emergence of AI platform ChatGPT could pose a threat to their job security, according to a new study by professional training firm STL. The research found 56% of workers were concerned about the impact of the technology, with those employed in translation seen as particularly vulnerable. Some 29% of the 2,000 respondents said they had not developed skills to keep pace with changes in the workplace, and a third did not know how to prepare. The technology is most likely to supplant writing, customer service and coding roles within organisations, the poll revealed.
