Zuckerberg also showcased LLM-powered AI agents with unique personas and skill sets that help and entertain people, saying that the company will bring them to Messenger and WhatsApp first, but explore additional opportunities across Meta‘s family of apps, consumer products, and into the metaverse.
In the meeting, Zuckerberg made a range of AI-related announcements, including that Meta is building a range of generative text, image, and video models. Meta is also developing generative AI-powered experiences. According to a spokesperson from Meta, these AI investments continue to be vital to near-term and long-term success.
These generative AI-powered experiences are in varying phases of development, the spokesperson added.
Zuckerberg concluded that Meta will play a crucial role in the industry by bringing these generative AI capabilities to everyone in new and innovative ways, which others may not do. With this announcement, the company shows its interest in taking artificial intelligence to the next level and achieving new breakthroughs in the field of AI.
