AI Technology Goes Beyond Simple Automation: An Opinion Piece

Belarus is embracing AI and implementing projects to promote its use, according to Head of the Law Directorate of the Belarus President Administration, Yevgeny Kovalenko. He said the government is helping initiatives that develop the technology, and robotics centres and AI laboratories have been created for experiments and R&D. Kovalenko praised AI’s potential to replace humans in situations such as in transport or energy, and the potential for going beyond simple automation. Director of the National Center of Legal Information Andrei Matelsky, however, advised caution in combining new and classical information technologies.
