Red Sift Utilizes GPT-4 AI to Enhance Detection of Cyber Threats

Date:

Cybersecurity company Red Sift has announced that it is using the GPT-4 generative AI platform to enhance its threat detection capabilities. Red Sift was previously applying machine learning algorithms to analyze DNS, SSL certificates, and the WHOIS database to identify suspicious online entities that required monitoring. However, its new Relevance Detection capability will facilitate the identification of the nature of new threats using natural language. GPT-4’s large language models mean that OnDOMAIN can find undiscovered domain assets owned by an organization, as well as any potential imitators, hastening the review process and saving time. Cybercriminals are increasingly using fake websites to collect data from end-users who may not be aware of the impersonation. The GPT-4 AI toolset will help cybersecurity teams work more efficiently to thwart these attacks. This is the beginning of a new era of AI in cybersecurity, although Rahul Powar, Red Sift’s CEO, says that the human element will still be critical to keep up with the increasing scale and complexity of cyberthreats.
