Microsoft Bing’s AI Chatbot Introduces New Features on Safari and Chrome

Date:

Microsoft’s Bing AI chatbot is reportedly set to appear in all major web browsers, including Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. According to sources, the chatbot will lose its exclusivity to Edge and will soon be available on other browsers. Mikhail Parakhin, Microsoft’s head of Advertising and Web Services, recently informed that the first experiments in enabling third-party browsers would happen soon. Windows Latest further reports that Microsoft tested Bing AI on Apple’s Safari browser over the past weekend and revealed new features inbound for the AI. These include more varied personalities and lifted restrictions, which might mean that longer chat sessions with Bing AI are coming. Windows Latest tested the Bing AI in Safari and found that it provided the same experience as it does in Microsoft’s Edge browser. Microsoft’s focus is reportedly on driving usage of the chatbot rather than using it to lure people to switch to Edge. Also, Bing AI in all major browsers could outgun Google’s Bard and might be a real priority for Microsoft right now. The idea of more varied personalities of Bing AI was hinted at in its very early days, but we are skeptical about the possibility of a ‘sarcastic’ mode being in the works.
