Programmer Attempts to Clone Girlfriend Using ChatGPT, Admits it Requires Further Development

Date:

A programmer has created a ChatGPT clone of his girlfriend that has been generating mixed reactions. Enais Cailliau has been working on the development of artificial intelligence platforms like ChatGPT and decided to take on a side project of cloning his girlfriend. The GirlfriendGPT program works like any other ChatGPT. You feed it information, in this case, material his real girlfriend has sent him, her photos, likes, and dislikes, and it mimics his girlfriend’s words to make it like talking to the real person via text.

The clone even has the capability to send selfies, which are also AI generated. However, Cailliau admits that it still needs a lot of work, as one generated selfie shows his girlfriend’s distorted face, sitting atop an extra torso, with three and a half legs and only one foot on a park bench! Despite this, he has been documenting his experiment on social media and his website, GPTGirlfriend.online, where interested individuals can browse a collection of in-development AI boyfriends and girlfriends.

Cailliau’s site notes that soon, the AI will have the capability to remember past interactions, which will improve conversational context and depth. The AI-generated significant others should also be able to send animated video responses in the future. To make things more interactive, Cailliau is offering the best suggestions for the personalities of future avatars a prize of $100.

While the idea of an AI clone of a loved one might be a little controversial, it has a great deal of potential for improving future technologies. If AI avatars can be created with the ability to remember past conversations and continue on like real humans, it opens up a whole new avenue for customer service across industries. However, it’s important to remember that there are ethical implications that need to be addressed. Despite this, it’s intriguing to see how technology can evolve to take on a more human-like approach.
