NYU Abu Dhabi is looking for a Post-Doctoral Associate to work on a multidisciplinary project, funded by the Research Enhancement Fund. The project, titled EyeScore, will focus on leveraging cross-modal associations between clinical data and optical imaging for stroke recurrence risk prediction. The successful candidate should have a strong background in machine learning and be motivated to pursue multidisciplinary research at the intersection of machine learning and healthcare. The researcher will primarily be based at NYU Abu Dhabi, reporting directly to PI Shamout, and working in close collaboration with other researchers at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and NYU Tandon School of Engineering. The appointment will be for two years with competitive terms of employment, including housing, and travel subsidies. The successful researcher for the EyeScore project will be supervised by Prof. Farah Shamout and Prof. Farokh Atashzar. The objective of the project is to improve the predictability of stroke recurrence by developing a computer algorithm that can scan both clinical data and optical images. The candidate should have a strong background in machine learning and be motivated to pursue multidisciplinary research at the intersection of machine learning and healthcare. The project is funded by NYU Abu Dhabi’s Research Enhancement Fund.
