Evercade apologizes for controversial AI artwork

Date:

Blaze Entertainment’s Evercade Showcase had many exciting announcements, including the unveiling of Duke Nukem collection cartridges. However, much of the hype was lost when Twitter users discovered that the key artwork for the games was produced by Artificial Intelligence (AI) instead of a human artist. Evercade initially defended its choice of using AI and even blocked some critics on Twitter. However, the company eventually issued a statement apologizing for not meeting fan expectations and confirming that the AI-generated artwork will be removed and replaced with hand-drawn art. It is encouraging to see Evercade handling the situation professionally by quickly responding to the issue and taking decisive action to correct it. Evercade has a great lineup of cartridge collections coming out this year and the next, and hopefully, the controversy will not affect the excitement surrounding these releases.
