Microsoft’s AI Designer tool now available on Teams

Date:

Microsoft is launching a new feature on its Teams platform called Designer, an AI-powered art-generating tool that creates designs for presentations, digital postcards, and more. Designer, which is similar to Canva, uses OpenAI’s text-to-image AI, DALL-E 2, to generate designs based on text prompts or uploaded images. Microsoft Teams users can customize the designs further with drop-downs and text boxes. Additionally, Microsoft has released new features for Teams’ communities, including a discovery tool for finding communities focused on specific topics. Teams’ daily active users grew from 145 million in 2021 to 270 million in 2022.

Microsoft is a multinational technology company based in Redmond, Washington. It is known for developing and producing a range of software, hardware, and services, including Windows, Office, Surface, and Xbox.

DALL-E 2 is an AI algorithm developed by OpenAI that generates images from natural language text descriptions. It is based on GPT-3, another OpenAI product that uses machine learning to generate human-like language.
