HP has announced plans to develop a new category of PCs with AI capabilities, in a move that has reignited the interest in personal computers. The tech company revealed its AI-enabled PCs, which incorporate the chip designs of AMD, Nvidia and Qualcomm, could be available for purchase in as little as two years. Using AI will allow users to make real-time decisions from locally processed data, rather than relying on cloud uploads. HP CEO, Enrique Lores, stated that the company is working to ensure that the cutting-edge technology will bring down costs for small businesses, while also improving data security and reducing latency.
