Low-Code Machine Learning Platform for Building Generative AI Models Introduced by Predibase

Date:

Low-code machine learning startup Predibase Inc. has launched a platform aimed at enabling companies to build and iterate sophisticated AI models and, ultimately, compete with larger rivals. The declarative platform allows users to specify what they want their machine learning models to predict and from which data, writing simple configuration YAML files rather than low-level machine learning code. Predibase believes its platform can reduce deployment times from months to just several days. The company has gained $12.2m in extra funding, bringing its series A investment to $25.2m. Its platform has been tested extensively by users across a variety of industries.

Predibase founder and CEO Piero Molino said the company has developed technology that makes it easier for novices and experts to build and bring machine learning applications into production, using powerful large language models for generative AI applications. The latest version of Predibase also features an AI-powered data science copilot, which provides guidance and real-time recommendations to developers as they develop new models. Such technology demonstrates potential to bring machine learning to the masses, said Andy Thurai, vice president and principal analyst at Constellation Research.

Step 1: Define predictions and deploy models using prebuilt large AI models.

Step 2: Novices can leverage recommended model architectures and get started; experts can fine-tune model parameters.

Step 3: Reduce deployment time from months to days using Predibase’s platform.

Step 4: Enable users to build on top of open-source large language models.

Step 5: Utilize an AI-powered data science copilot, which provides recommendations to developers on how to improve model performance.
