ChatGPT, an Artificial Intelligence tool developed by OpenAI has ranked the most overrated athletes of all time. Surprisingly, baseball legends Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez topped off the list. A-Rod is recognized as one of the most widely known baseball players in history, with a three-year streak as an MVP and the lead in home runs while he played for the Texas Rangers. However, he faced criticism due to his alleged use of steroids which resulted in his suspension for one season. In contrast, Jeter who was an icon in New York Yankees did not face accusations of using any banned substances. Although he spent an impressive 20-year career playing for the Yankees, his defensive play as a shortstop has been criticized. Despite their respective critics and fans, Jeter and A-Rod remain as two of the most rated – perhaps overly – players in baseball.
