Arm, a British chip design company, has announced its new Total Compute Solutions 2023 (TCS23) platform. This cutting-edge technology is designed specifically for flagship mobile devices and laptops, boasting a massive increase of 15% in performance and 40% less power consumption. The new platform includes the Cortex-X4 CPU – the first CPU to be built on TSMC’s N3E process.
The Cortex-X4 guarantees immersive visuals and advanced AI applications, all while keeping an all-day charge for longer usage. The properties of the Cortex-X4 already have the attention of major chipmaker MediaTek who will be implementing TCS23 in their product Dimensity 9200.
Arm is a global semiconductor company offering a wide range of CPU designs used in laptops, desktops, servers and embedded systems. Founded in 1990, Arm has developed strong relationships with many of the world’s leading technology companies including Apple, Samsung, and Qualcomm.
Arm’s CEO Simon Segars expressed his excitement for the launch of TCS23. With this latest technology, he believes Arm is in the best position to offer powerful, reliable, and versatile solutions for customers across the mobile and cloud compute domains.
