Competing with Google’s ChatGPT: A New Search Tool Launches

Date:

Google has launched its latest tool in the world of AI search – Search Generative Experience or SGE. The new product is now available for users to test and provides users with feedback they can use to conduct future experiments with the search engine. SGE looks to take over from Microsoft’s ChatGPT and will allow users to understand topics faster, uncover new viewpoints and insight and get tasks completed easily.

The SGE tool places a new section at the top of the search engine results, collecting information from multiple sources and delivering it in one box. To use the feature, users located in the US must sign up to Google Labs and will receive an email to take advantage of SGE once registered.

Google is the world’s most popular search engine and is owned by the tech giant Alphabet. The company was founded in 1998 and since then has become a digital powerhouse, providing access to a wealth of information across the internet. Alphabet’s CEO Sundar Pichai oversees Google and other Alphabet divisions and has helped to spearhead the company’s growth. Embracing Artificial Intelligence has been an important part of his strategy, now seen with the launch of SGE.
