OpenAI has released its ChatGPT App for iOS users in India and 11 other countries. The ChatGPT app is an AI-powered chatbot that enables users to converse with a virtual assistant in natural language. It uses natural language generation technology to generate conversations based on a user’s input.
To download the ChatGPT App for iOS on iPhone, users need to head to the App Store and search for the app. Then they can download the app by tapping on the ‘get’ button. Once download is complete, users can log in using either a Google account, Microsoft account, or Apple account. The app also offers users the ability to disable their chat history. Additionally, a feature called shared links has been recently introduced to allow users to create and share ChatGPT conversations with others.
OpenAI is a research laboratory founded by technology entrepreneurs Elon Musk and Sam Altman to develop Artificial Intelligence technologies such as natural language processing and machine learning. In response to a recent law in the European Union that puts AI in the “high risk” zone, the CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, threatened to quit the Union and has consequently mobilised a powerful AI lobby to draft a new set of regulations.
The company recently closed USD 175 Million in a fund designed to empower AI startups. Such efforts reinforce OpenAI’s mission to ensure that AI technologies benefit the majority of people in the world.
