Verify That You’re Not Using a Questionable ChatGPT Copycat

Date:

Six months ago, ChatGPT changed the tech world forever. Developed by OpenAI, this revolutionary artificial intelligence has the capability of doing anything users ask it to do, prompting a great leap forward in AI technology. Until recently, people could only use ChatGPT through its website as a mobile app was not available. But the wait is over: the iOS version of the app was launched in the US on 18th May 2021 and is now available in 11 other countries.

The mobile version offers the same experience as its web counterpart, and if you opt for the $20/month ChatGPT Plus subscription, you get additional benefits such as access to GPT-4, priority access to the system, beta-testing opportunities, and increased speed. Plugin support is still not quite there yet, but that may improve in the future. Unfortunately, Android users still have to wait a while as an Android version has yet to be released.

Before you try out the app, be sure to use the official one to avoid scammy knockoffs. The App Store and Play Store are full of impostor apps that can be mistaken for the official one, like the “ChatGPT Chat GPT AI With GPT-3” app which was found to be luring consumers in with false branding and free downloads, when in fact they were being overcharged for a service that can be obtained for free.

The iOS app stands out from the crowd with its wonderful haptic feedback: its introductory messages along with response from ChatGPT are complemented with vibrations, making the experience more immersive. You can download the official app through the Android App Store here—have fun!
