Data Visualization Mistakes You Could Be Making – According to Canva

Date:

Canva believes that businesses have been approaching data visualization with the wrong approach. To address this, the graphic design software makers have released interactive data visualizations integrated into their system. These maps, graphs, and charts will offer an engaging approach to presenting data and are similar to what can be seen on news sites such as BBC. Canva’s decision to launch this new data visual tool follows their company’s acquisition of UK data-viz platform Flourish in order to secure a stronger presence in Europe.

Data can be difficult to illustrate in an interesting way to a potential audience. Excel-generated bar graphs often fail to capture attention due to its mundane look. Canva wants to eliminate that problem by encouraging users to position their data visualizations in a visually pleasing manner instead of presenting them in a plain format.

Canva users can already utilize standard charts and graphs on the platform. However, these have been noted to be somewhat basic and boring. Thanks to the addition of Flourish visualizations, users are now able to embed such content into their photos, PDFs, and presentations. This allows for hierarchical treemap and packed circle charts without any difficulty. Because of this, presenting data won’t have to be a mundane task.

Canva has also acquired other European businesses such as Pexels and Pixabay to strengthen their presence in the region. In addition, the company has opened its first European campus in London in line with their strategy to grow in densely populated market found in the continent.

Canva is an Australian company that allows users to design beautiful graphics, social media templates, and presentations without any design knowledge. Allowing them to be successful in today’s digital world. It has become the go-to choice for anyone wanting quick and easy results with their designs. The platform is available in 190 countries around the world and is available in both web and mobile app free versions.
