Windows 11 AI Assistant Enhanced with ChatGPT Technology

Date:

Microsoft is continuing its push to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology across its services with the launch of Windows 11. This new operating system will be the first to offer “centralised AI assistance” for its customers through a chatbot called Windows Copilot.

Windows Copilot will use AI to answer questions posed by users, similar to the ChatGPT hosted by OpenAI – the Microsoft-owned artificial intelligence lab. Copilot can be found and used simply, helping to take action and customise settings while seamlessly connecting across different applications like Bing and ChatGPT. Examples of Copilot’s capabilities are finding flights and accommodations, summarising or explaining content, and checking the local time in other countries for making calls.

Microsoft has invested significantly in OpenAI, with illustrations seen in the new AI-driven Bing, Dynamics 365 Copilot, and Security Copilot. Experience with the AI-enhanced Windows Copilot will be available for preview next month.

This new OS further highlights Microsoft’s commitment to the development of AI, which they aim to incorporate into virtually all of their products and services. Microsoft hopes to make AI technology more accessible to the public, so more people can benefit from its advantages.

Panos Panay, Microsoft Chief Product Officer for Windows and devices, expressed optimism with the Windows 11 launch. He believes this new AI assistant will make every user a power user, helping them get the most out of their PC experience.

The introduction of Windows 11 AI copilot is creating a buzz in the tech world. For users, this means a plethora of options and customization abilities. And for developers, a promise of new ways to reach customers. This new assistant proves a testament to the power of AI and its significance in our lives.
