A Twitter user used the chatbot AI ChatGPT to diagnose his dog in a situation when conventional veterinarians were unable to do so. According to the user, identified as Cooper on Twitter under the handle @peakcooper, his dog Sassy had been diagnosed with a tick-borne disease and the prescribed treatment showed signs of improvement, however, after a few days the condition deteriorated rapidly. Cooper noticed pale gums and conducted a blood test only to reveal more severe anaemia. After being unable to provide further diagnoses, he consulted the ChatGPT artificial intelligence health care bot. Cooper was amazed at the results the ChatGPT provided when it suggested that his pet had a condition called Immune-mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA). He rushed his Sassy to another vet for a second opinion and got the diagnosis confirmed. Thanks to the timely diagnosis made by ChatGPT, Sassy is on the road to recovery.
ChatGPT is a healthcare AI chatbot created to help medical professionals, researchers and eventually, customers access health advice and personalized care using artificial intelligence. The program uses natural language processing to understand medical contexts and generate accurate and evidence-based responses. It is the first chatbot system capable of providing health advice across a wide range of medical topics and different languages. This feature makes it a great tool for medical professionals and researchers, who can use this virtual healthmate to quickly get valuable insight into the diagnosis and to help improve the quality of care they provide.
But Cooper is not the only beneficiary of this AI chatbot. ChatGPT has enabled medical professionals and researchers to access a large number of accurate and reliable sources of health information, conveniently. This helps them make more informed decisions in a shorter period of time. Indeed, Cooper can thank his lucky stars that the AI chatbot was there to save his beloved pet’s life.
