60% of Workers Enhanced Job Fulfillment with AI-Assisted Automation – Report

AI-powered automation solutions have emerged as a powerful tool to help workers cope with burnout and elevate job satisfaction. According to a recent survey conducted by UiPath, a software automation firm, near 60% of workers believe that automation tools are capable of mitigating burnout while 57% survey participants expressed more positive view of companies that implemented them.

This has led to the emergence of ‘automation generation’: professionals who actively adopt such technologies and strive to avoid feeling dehumanized. UiPath survey, conducted among 6,460 executives worldwide, highlights that 31% of them already employ business automation solutions. Furthermore, 83% of those who are are already using them believe that such solutoins can effectively improve job satisfaction.

Brigette McInnis-Day, who is the chief people officer at UiPath, told VentureBeat that people are positively viewing technology-powered tools for increasing collaboration, stimulating creativity and boosting productivity. Some survey participants also reported that they are taking extra responsibilities due to global lay-offs and hiring freezes.

Among the respondents, more than half of them expressed the desire for automaton tools to assist in data analysis, adding/creating data, IT/technical issue resolution and report generation. 40% of workers are burned-out due to working beyond scheduled hours and feeling the pressure from their managers.

The survey also revealed that millennials and gen Z are particularly receptive to these tools as they look for more flexible work environment, skill acquisition and allocated time for critical tasks.
