Join the Movement to Shape the Future of AI with Google

Date:

A few weeks ago, Google rolled out its Generative AI inside Google Docs and Gmail to select users in exchange for feedback and it seems as though its Trusted Tester program has expanded “by more than 10x.” Users who now have access should use at least six words and provide context like recipient, topic, and tone to get the best results from the generated response. The four options available to refine the created response are formalize, elaborate, shorten, or “I’m Feeling Lucky” to add creativity.

Though limited to US users, it is available across the web, mobile and plans are being utilized for Sheets, Slides, Chat and Meet. Microsoft’s rivaling AI assistant – Microsoft 365 Copilot – is rolling out across applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Viva, Power Platform, and more.

Google is a multinational technology company specialized in Internet services and products that include online advertising technologies, cloud computing, search engine, software, hardware, and other hardware related products. The company, known for its popular search engine, started in 1998 and lasted to this day. It is offering a range of services, including the Google Workspace suite, in order to grow the power of AI in its products.

One of the company’s co-founders Sergey Brin, who was born and grew up in Moscow, is a computer scientist and entrepreneur. He earned a degree in mathematics and computer science from Stanford University and, in 1997, met Larry Page at the university. They made a breakthrough, discovering a new way to rank webpages and devised a business plan around their idea. This idea become what we now know as Google.
