Bing Chat Unveils Major Enhancements with ChatGPT Integration

Microsoft recently made a major announcement about the much-talked about Bing Chat, a new AI-powered chatbot, extending its features with plugins, open preview, and more. After its launch three months ago, this chatbot had a commendable user base of over 100 million, and saw a four-fold rise in downloads for the Bing mobile app. In order to keep this momentum, Microsoft have taken a step further by introducing several major updates, allowing users to get the best of Bing Chat.

At the forefront of this major feature announcement is the new plugin support, allowing anyone to try Bing Chat without the hassle of waiting lists. Microsoft also made a bullet point list of the newest features being rolled out, including chat history tracking and sharing/exporting options. Additionally, opening a link on Bing Chat within Edge will now open a sidebar while users can also select a tone while composing messages. Improved summarization capabilities have also been added, applicable to both PDFs and websites, as well as charts and graphs for a more interactive presentation of answers.

Microsoft also unveiled the Bing Image Creator, which allows users to generate images in over a hundred languages. The Edge Actions feature uses AI to perform simple tasks such as reservations and can even automatically play movies where available. Similar features for ChatGPT were also announced, but Bing Chat has had notable advantages including beginner-friendliness and a fully integrated Bing search. Moreover, Bing Chat also has longer conversations and character limits, adding to its list of benefits.
