Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann distributed recruitment letters to 461 young individuals on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh’s Parkash Purab. These youths were urged to follow the path of justice and serve the people, marking a significant step in improving traffic management in the state.
During the event held at municipal Bhawan in New Delhi, Chief Minister Mann emphasized the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh, who stood against injustice and oppression. He called upon everyone to dedicate themselves to serving the people with sincerity and dedication.
Starting from Republic Day, the Sadak Suraksha Force will be deployed to serve the people of Punjab. This force, currently undergoing training in Kapurthala, aims to reduce the fatality rate caused by road accidents and enhance traffic management in the state.
To achieve this goal, approximately 130 vehicles equipped with modern gadgets and medical kits will be stationed every 30 kilometers to monitor the roads and offer emergency assistance.
Moreover, over 40,000 youth have been selected for various government departments based solely on merit, highlighting the government’s commitment to providing employment opportunities to deserving individuals.
Notably, the Chief Minister recently appointed 245 new sub-inspectors in the Punjab Bureau of Investigation wing and introduced 200 civilian support staff in the Investigation Cadre. Multiple recruitment drives are currently ongoing to fulfill employment requirements.
Chief Minister Mann stressed the importance of continuous recruitment in the Punjab Police. The government aims to hire 1800 Constables and 300 Sub-Inspectors annually. Additionally, plans are underway to establish eight hi-tech centers to provide quality training for competitive exams, enabling the youth to secure prestigious positions both in the state and the country.
In line with modern advancements, the government is also focusing on modernizing the police force by incorporating artificial intelligence to effectively combat evolving challenges. Chief Minister Mann expressed confidence in the Punjab Police’s ability to tackle various issues, including cross-border smuggling, narco-terrorism, and organized crime.
