Warning: AI Technology Could Lead to Misinterpretation of Mammograms

This study by the Radiological Society of North America reveals that AI-supported mammograms could lead to incorrect results and gravely compromise the accuracy of breast cancer screening. 27 radiologists and 50 mammograms were used to test the effects of AI readings - with unsurprising results: the breast cancer detection accuracy decreased significantly when AI produced incorrect BI-RADS reports. The need for caution, further study and safety implementation is paramount for AI integration for medical purposes.

An evaluation of responses from the chatbot and human medics on a five-point scale revealed that ChatGPT was 3.6x more accurate and 9.8x more empathetic. Korean Businesses Rush to Issue Guidelines for ChatGPT due to Data Leak Fear

As fears of data leakage arise, South Korean companies are taking extra measures to ensure the safe use of ChatGPT, the revolutionary AI-powered chatbot by OpenAI. Samsung, SK, LG and POSCO, amongst others, are creating guidelines to protect confidential information and prevent misuse. Sejong University is also looking to create policies prohibiting the use of ChatGPT for assignments. To support this effort, the Ministry of Science and ICT held an education session to impart knowledge about the AI-based chatbot.
