Western Health Victoria has partnered with Logicalis Australia to implement a Modern Workplace Transformation Program. This program aims to enhance collaboration, communication, security, and document management capabilities within Western Health’s health service. The existing infrastructure faced challenges such as disjointed processes, ineffective tools, and limitations in storage and computing. The primary focus of the initiative is the protection of patient data and identity.
As part of the program, several critical components were addressed. This included rebuilding the Health Service’s Active Directory and laying the foundations for the Modern Workplace and Modern Management programs. Additionally, an electronic resource planning (ERP) and electronic medical records (EMR) rollout were carried out to optimize data efficiency and accessibility. To improve document management and compliance, a robust records management solution was implemented.
Logicalis Australia played a significant role in facilitating seamless communication and collaboration by integrating Microsoft 365. The goal is to enable Western Health’s staff to work more efficiently and securely, whether in-office or remotely. As part of the partnership, Logicalis Australia also worked on strengthening Western Health’s Microsoft Azure environment to enhance scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
