The partnership between Telefónica and Microsoft seeks to launch joint initiatives in Innovation and Digital Transformation. These initiatives will focus on services such as games, connectivity, communication, and artificial intelligence. The collaboration also entails the development of an artificial intelligence laboratory that is intended to facilitate internal education on the subject at Vivo, through a variety of programs.
This important move forward, makes Vivo one of the first telcos in Latin America to adopt the Azure OpenAI Service. This technology enables the generation of content from within the box, which can be provided in various formats, giving the AI capabilities of providing answers and images, as well as creating original content.
Among the intended goals of the collaboration is to enhance the customer experience, while simultaneously increasing Vivo’s operating costs. One of the first use cases under development is to use the Azure OpenAI Service to assist the customer service agents, allowing them to understand customer calls, inquiries and preventing service errors.
Vivo also plans to use the technology in specific areas of the business, such as preparing selling proposals for corporate clients, allowing sales representatives to deliver more accurate services and strategies. Moreover, the integration of the AI Service, will no doubt offer new capabilities to the telco, allowing it to provide a better, more efficient experience and making it an even more competitive operator in the Latin American market.
