Tampa Bay Innovation Center has opened applications for its new startup accelerator program that focuses on artificial intelligence (AI), data science, and machine learning. The incubator, based in St. Petersburg, Florida, aims to support early-stage founders who are working with massive amounts of data and those working to simplify the collection, analysis, and monetization of large data sources. The program includes mentoring, expert advice, and financial support from ARK Invest, Morrow Consultants, and PODS Moving & Storage to accelerate the development of participating AI-focused startups.
The accelerator aims to help startups working with data generated by internet of things networks, data for training artificial intelligence systems, and other tools to gain valuable insights. TBIC Accelerator includes weekly workshops, mentoring, and ongoing customer validation surveys. The program is set to begin in August 2021.
Ken Evans, the accelerator’s managing director, believes that the industry has barely scratched the surface of innovation in the field of data science and AI. The program’s efforts will not only impact scientific research, he asserts, but business operations, customer service, and other areas of society as well.
The startup accelerator will provide participating startups with several benefits, including mentorship, expert advice, financial support, and a chance to network and learn from other startups in the program. Startups can apply for the accelerator by visiting the Tampa Bay Innovation Center website. With so many exciting announcements in the world of data science and AI, Tampa Bay’s emphasis on these fields will undoubtedly stimulate impactful innovation in all aspects of life, including transportation and beyond.
