OpenAI, the US-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) company, has been granted permission by the Italian data protection agency Garante to provide its ChatGPT chatbot services in Italy. With the help of OpenAI, the Garante was able to satisfy the requirements on safeguarding user privacy. ChatGPT is a machine-learning system designed to have natural conversations to provide contextual advice and a conversational library. OpenAI mission is to discover and enact the path to safe artificial general intelligence while making advancements and implementations of AI technology to solve complex challenges.

This week Berlin's Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family released a guide on how to utilize ChatGPT, a popular AI tool, in schools. The guide outlines tasks for teaching students to use ChatGPT safely and effectively, as well as methods for teachers to take advantage of tasks that need human input. The guide also recommends keeping exams in analogue form for the time being.
