SwiftKey Introduces Bing’s ChatGPT AI on Android – What It Can Do

Date:

SwiftKey, the popular keyboard application for both Android and iOS, has now partnered with Microsoft’s Bing and included the online search engine’s AI chatbot ChatGPT in its Android version. Generative AI has become very popular in recent years and for Microsoft, it has been a key step in the success of Bing.

ChatGPT, powered by GPT-4, is now accessible in SwiftKey through a “Bing” button which can be found in the left side of the keyboard’s top row. This feature has two forms, the first being the new “Tone” option which allows users to draft and submit a message to be automatically rewritten by the AI using a variety of options like polite, formal, friendly, and more. The second option is the “Chat” tab which can be accessed directly on the keyboard and takes users to Bing’s site, making it easier to find what they are looking for. The responses generated can then be copied to the clipboard.

This is a great new addition to SwiftKey and it is only available on Android while the iOS version is still catching up. Microsoft has great plans for the AI side of their relationship with SwiftKey and we are excited to see what more they can bring to the table in the near future.

Built by Microsoft, Bing is a web search engine that has become incredibly popular. It stands out by having unique AI chatbot capabilities, powered by the GPT-4 model. Microsoft has always been committed to providing its users with the best AI powered solutions and through its partnership with SwiftKey, this commitment has only strengthened. With the inclusion of ChatGPT AI, it is making it simpler for users to quickly draft and submit their messages without having to navigate to an external page.
