Chan Yan Chang, a computer science student, appreciates the convenience of using ChatGPT for sourcing codes while working on projects. Although acknowledging the code’s occasional shortcomings, Chan finds the AI tool immensely helpful in providing a general understanding and a starting point for further research.
Lau Leyoung believes that ChatGPT enhances productivity, particularly with reference citations. While acknowledging concerns about academic integrity, Lau emphasizes the importance of using the tool wisely. Rather than relying on it to write essays, students should focus on developing their own opinions and use ChatGPT as a means of refining ideas.
Krystal Tan Yu Qiao acknowledges ChatGPT’s usefulness in consolidating and finding research information but raises valid concerns about errors in responses and the lack of proper source citations. Questioning potential bias in the produced information, Krystal advises caution when using the platform.
Stefan Dian Djarkasih, who struggles with English, finds ChatGPT helpful in extracting key points and aiding writing tasks. However, Stefan believes that AI will not gain ultimate control as its abilities are derived from human input.
