Splunk, the data analytics and software company, has announced a new collaboration with Microsoft to enhance digital resilience for its customers. The partnership will enable Splunk’s solutions to be purchased directly from the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.
During the opening keynote of the Splunk .conf23 event, CEO Gary Steele emphasized the importance of digital resilience, highlighting its role in driving success in today’s complex digital landscape. To support and protect organizations, Steele identified three key pillars: compatibility with multicloud environments, comprehensive visibility, and leveraging the power of artificial intelligence (AI).
Steele assured businesses that Splunk will continue to support on-premises licenses for its software, recognizing that many organizations still rely on a combination of on-premises and cloud technologies. While Splunk already integrates with Google Cloud and AWS, it has now expanded its integration to include Microsoft Azure, allowing customers access to the Microsoft suite.
Judson Althoff, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Microsoft, shared a message echoing Splunk’s focus on digital resilience. He announced that U.S. customers will now be able to purchase Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security (ES), and Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) using credits on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Availability for customers outside the U.S. will be forthcoming.
Althoff emphasized the value of Splunk’s offering, stating that it, combined with Azure and Azure AI, can continue to empower our mutual customers’ transformation journeys while helping them build a foundation for future innovation and growth.
This collaboration between Splunk and Microsoft represents a strategic move to bolster digital resilience in an ever-evolving business landscape. As organizations prioritize digital transformation, the ability to navigate multicloud environments, gain visibility, and harness AI-driven insights becomes crucial. With Splunk’s solutions now available on Azure, customers can benefit from a comprehensive platform that supports their digital resilience goals.
The partnership also demonstrates the growing importance of cloud computing giants collaborating to provide integrated solutions to customers. By joining forces, Splunk and Microsoft aim to deliver enhanced value and support to organizations embarking on their digital journeys.

The collaboration between Splunk and Microsoft, with its focus on compatibility, visibility, and AI-driven results, offers a compelling solution for organizations seeking to navigate the multifaceted challenges of the modern digital era.
