Sonet.io is a tech startup that has recently emerged from stealth after raising an impressive $6 million in seed capital. The funding will be used to further refine their product and accelerate customer acquisition, aiming to transform the remote work landscape. Sonet.io offers an air-gapped cloud service that simplifies IT operations and streamlines remote workforce management, while saving costs compared to traditional services.
Two former Symantec Executives are driving the plans for enhancing remote worker productivity: co-founder and CEO Dharmendra Mohan and CTO Venu Banda. Mohan has over twenty years of experience in building cybersecurity solutions and was previously head of global security cloud services at Symantec, while Banda brings decades of experience in architecting software solutions.
The transition to remote work has posed multiple obstacles for organizations, creating the need for secure access to applications, servers and data without obstructing productivity or incurring extra costs. Sonet.io’s platform addresses this need, providing comprehensive observability via a unified dashboard, while safeguarding applications and servers with no-code policies, accessed from any device without the need for device agents.
Recent reports have suggested that the Global Remote Workplace Services Market size is expected to reach $67 billion by 2028, growing by a CAGR of 22.3%. This exponential increase in remote work makes Sonet.io’s product a valuable asset to countless businesses, allowing them to employ zero-trust access control, identify threats and monitor user activity from anywhere.
The Hive and WestWave Capital co-led the funding for the project, with WestWave Capital’s Partner Gaurav Manglik adding that “Sonet unlocks remote workforce potential by providing instant air-gapped secure access to applications on preferred browsers and devices while enhancing user observability in IT infrastructure.” Sonet.io will be available at RSAC 2023, from April 24-27, at the Early Stage Expo in Moscone South, Booth #44.
