Shanghai Airport Boosts Efficiency with AI-Powered ETA Prediction Model
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) is making strides in innovation and artificial intelligence (AI) by implementing ADB SAFEGATE’s advanced technologies to enhance their daily operations. With the algorithm in place, 75 percent of flights now land within 30 minutes of their scheduled landing time, greatly improving accuracy. This improved accuracy has directly translated into a 25 percent reduction in the need for stand changes. As a result, security risks caused by flight conflicts have decreased, and more passengers are able to use airbridges instead of waiting for buses.
